BKSK Architects is excited to once again compete in the NY Architects Regatta this September and try to recapture first place after our second place finish last year. However, even more important than the place we finish is our commitment to support the fundraising goals of this fantastic event. We are even prouder to say that we were also atop the fundraising leader board and hope to surpass last year's total of 17,950 dollars this year. BKSK is asking for your support in raising funds for not only the marine related event charities but also one charity close to BKSK, the EB Research Partnership.
EB Research Partnership is the largest nonprofit dedicated to funding research aimed at treating and ultimately curing Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a group of devastating and life-threatening genetic skin disorders. David Kubik, Partner at BKSK, began supporting EBRP after his three year old daughter, Elodie, was diagnosed with EB at birth. While there is no treatment for this disease, for the first time there are exciting treatments in clinical trial that can dramatically improve the quality of life for kids like Elodie. However, these trials depend on the support of organizations like EBRP to progress forward. With the incredible efforts of EBRP, David is optimistic that all those suffering with EB will benefit from a life-saving treatment and eventually a cure. Learn more about Elodie here:
