We want to increase BIZCOACHing in our South Broadway BID in three ways:
1) REACH OUR 280 MERCHANTS--We want to continue helping our 280 merchantsinnovate with their best business practices, learn top marketing, make improvements in their stores. Our district is made up of many hardworking entrepreneurs--who are immigrants, women and people of color. They are dedicating their lives and life savings to their businesses here in the South Broadway BID.
We have already had more than two-dozen merchants go through one on one coaching and incorprate improvements learned. Now we very much seek to increase this number and amount of help
2) TEACH OUR LOCAL STUDENTS ON THE JOB--We are aiming to kick off a pilot program this summer that partners high achieving YPS studentswith our local businesses in summer jobs. During this 8 weeks we want to coach them through weekly business education sessions led by experienced business leaders. This will provide deep knowledge of best business practices for these students and this education will set them apart in the workworld by providing knowledge that most of their peers don't have. The South Broadway BID program will help them for the rest of their lives.
3) KEEP OUR SOUTH BROADWAY BID TEAM STRONG ON SKILLS--We have already been coaching our Ranger Clean Team Crew members on best practices for customer service. They are our busy business district's best "Ambassadors" for the public and merchants. Learning business tools will help them in their jobs with us and beyond in their future.
