The Jewish Deaf Foundation was launched in the spring of 2014, and ever since it has become a powerful resource for educational programs and innovation in the international Jewish Deaf community.
In just four short years, we've organized and celebrated 11 mega-Chanukah events in Rishon Lezion, Israel, New York City, Washington, D.C., Rochester, NY, and Los Angeles, California. (Stay tuned for details of our Fifth Annual NYC Chanukah Celebration this year!)
In just four years, we've welcomed over 70 Jewish deaf children to our summer camp programs, and are already getting ready to welcome another 30 children this summer.
In just four years, we've developed links with Jewish Deaf communities not just in the United States, but across the globe. Every day we are in touch with deaf Jews from Moscow to Budapest and from Paris to Melbourne. For many of our fellow deaf Jews, we are often their only link to Judaism.
In just four years, we've produced over 250 videos on a wide variety of topics, from the weekly Torah portion to kosher cooking and interviews with Holocaust survivors and Jewish holidays.
We've accomplished a lot. But do you want to know the truth? If it weren't for you, we would not have accomplished a single thing!
Thanks to donors like you, we've been able to raise the hundreds of thousands of dollars necessary to get these projects off the ground.
ONLY thanks to your donations, we've been able to give back to our Jewish Deaf community with our wealth of projects.
Please take just two minutes to help us again by making a donation. May G-d bless you for your generosity.
Together, we can - and we will - change the world!
