Safe Haven is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue dedicated to caring for neglected and unwanted exotic pets and to educating the public about these incredible animals. For over a decade, Safe Haven has provided a permanent sanctuary to hundreds of exotic pets brought in from all walks of life and, at times, in rough and serious conditions. We have strived to educate and inform about these amazing animals through public programs and private events. We are completely run on the hard work and dedication of our incredible volunteers and the donations from the public.
Just as covid has effected many of us personally, Safe Haven also has had hardships this year. With our summer programs cancelled for the sake of health and safety, we have not been able to raise the money we count on for the colder months to come. Winter is always a rough time because a lot of our animals require warm temperatures to be happy and comfortable which can get pricy.
Earlier this year, Safe Haven was able to construction two new buildings for our birds and tortoises. This was a great step in creating more space and providing better care to our feathery and leathery friends. However, these buildings need to be wired for electricity and that is why we are here. With winter on its way and funds not available through our normal means we are asking you to help us raise the money to have these buildings wired and ready for winter. Our goal is based on quotes we received to completely wire both buildings along with electrical repairs and any other extra fees we may face. Any amount spared is a step closer to reaching our goal and guaranteeing our animal residents will be warm and toasty.
