In 2017, Unity for a Solution launched its signature event, Big Fix Houston, which provides free spay-neuter surgeries, vaccinations and microchips to pets of low income residents living in areas in and around Houston with the most animal-related complaints and highest population of stray dogs and cats. To-date, Unity has provided services to over 1600 animals through its Big Fix Houston program.
This coming February, we will hold our 4th Big Fix Houston event! Our goal is to provide free services for 1000 animals.
Big Fix Houston also provides outreach, information and resources to raise awareness and to improve the protection and treatment of animals. We can't adopt or euthanize our way out of the city's overpopulation crisis. The problem must be addressed through advocacy, education and outreach.
Unity for a Solution is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization. We have no paid staff. Every dollar raised goes directly back in to the communities that we serve.
