Dear friends and family,
I am running the 2020 Boston Marathon to raise money for the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center at BIDMC. This center provides comprehensive disease care, research, community outreach, and education to those who suffer from Parkinson's Disease and a multitude of other movement disorders. I first became aware of the Movement Disorders Center at BIDMC through my uncle, who works as a physician and scientist treating patients with Parkinson's Disease.
Although I never got to meet him, my fiancé's grandfather passed away due to Parkinson's Disease several years ago. The support he received improved his health, but there are still major advances that need to be made to provide the best treatment possible. Through your donations, we can help advance both scientific research and treatment options for those who suffer from movement disorders.
I'm so excited to be running Boston this year - this will be my second marathon ever, and my first time running Boston. I've spent the last 5 years as a spectator on Patriot's Day, and I'm incredibly excited to be participating as a runner this year!
Please consider donating to help support the center by clicking the donate button on my page! Thank you!
* Submit any donations to your employers as a part of any gift matching program!
