Dearest family and friends,
I am thankful to be running the Boston Marathon for Team BIDMC. It will be my fifth year running with the team and I am humbled to say it will also be my 16th Boston Marathon. I will be running in memory of my Dad. I am still getting adjusted to saying the words "in memory of my Dad". Hard to believe it's been two years now that he has passed. He is truly missed and loved by my family and all who knew him.
Dad battled congestive heart failure along with his many other long term ailments. His last year, we saw medical miracles that happened more than once with the combination of Dad's will and his teams of doctors and nurses at BIDMC all working together.
His doctors worked cohesively with the doctors and staff from the Cardiovascular Institute including many departments and hospital units, hematology, transfusion medicine, pulmonary, ICU and emergency department.
Our family continues to give back to BIDMC for giving my Dad quality of life for more than twenty years of receiving extraordinary care.
I am committed to raise $10,000 to go towards the Annual Fund that provides flexible funding to advance priorities and projects that support the hospital's mission of providing unparalleled care for patients, teaching the next generation of physicians, and finding cures for most devastating diseases.
If you would like to make a donation to BIDMC in support of my efforts while I continue Dad's legacy that will help others get incredible healthcare, I would be thankful with a grateful heart.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
