As 7th grade students at Bloomfield Hills Middle School, we learn about the Global Water Crisis. To try and empathize with others, each year we simulate a water walk in our World Cultures classes, carrying water jugs as we walk over a mile "in another's shoes." After experiencing the hardship of having to walk for water, WE TAKE ACTION! Whether it be giving up all other drinks, and drinking only water for a week, or finding other ways to conserve water (click here for many options), we save the money we would have spent on these items and instead donate it to the We Walk for Water fundraiser. Not only do we conserve the gallons of water that go into the production of coffee/coffee drinks/soda pop, or other household activities that we tend to take for granted, but we will also help bring fresh water access to other's in need. A mere $25 dollars will provide safe, fresh drinking water to one person for LIFE! For $250 we can provide a family of 10 clean drinking water for life! A $1000 donation provides an entire community of 40 people with clean water for life, while $5000 will provide a clean water system for a school, providing tools to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for students and the school. WE think that's money well-spent. Please help us reach our 2019 goal of $2500 by Sunday, June 9th! Thank you for your support!
