I joined the Children's Bureau almost a year ago. As many of you know, I suffered from child abuse when I was a child, and today I am an advocate for child abuse prevention. The work that the Children's Bureau does has given me the courage to not just share my story but to work actively against child abuse and towards its prevention.
In honor of the Children's Bureau's 116th birthday and to raise awareness for it, I will be running a mile for every 20 dollars donated. I would love your support to help me reach my fundraising goal and if you feel like it, come out to join me virtually!
Since 1904, the Children’s Bureau has strengthened families by investing in a child’s most critical years. We have grown to serve over 50,000 children and parents annually across Southern California through child abuse prevention programs, mental health counseling, foster care, adoption services, and more. Children’s Bureau is committed to helping vulnerable children and families in our community. Every child deserves to grow up feeling nurtured and safe. We can do this, but we need your support.
Join me to celebrate the Children's Bureau's 116th birthday by taking the #116Challenge.
