I am running on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metrowest as I believe that every child, no matter their age, should have a safe place to hang out after school to focus on their studies and to grow up with a well-rounded program that supports them throughout many stages of their lives. It is extremely important for children to have this outlet available to them. And they need your help!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest serves more than 200 kids a day at our Framingham location, and more than 3,200 youth per year across all three of our locations (Framingham, Hudson, and Marlborough). Their low annual membership fee of only $25 per child provides impactful social, educational, physical, and cultural programming that enhances the developments of our members and prepares them to be responsible and productive members of our community.
They provide transportation from most of the Framingham schools to their Clubhouse, and stay open until 6 PM for the younger members and 9 PM for teenagers. On any given day, you can see their members working on their homework, playing a game in our gym, building a STEM project in the Tech Center, or doing arts & crafts with a volunteer group. There is always something new and exciting going on at the Club!
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metrowest is located in South Framingham where they serve a diverse population. They work to eliminate the financial barrier for families to access our programming and we rely on donors and sponsors to help us fund the remainder of our programmings. The actual cost per child is closer to $1,000 per year.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to our Framingham Clubhouse to support programming and safe transportation!
