The Bethel Community began its' journey to restore their beautiful old church in 2001.
Back then, there were only a few dollars in the bank account for the job.
That became our seed money. Friends and family who wanted to see this project shared their hearts and souls and a whole lot of labor into the restoration of Bethel Church.
In the past four years, the community has raised more than $14,000 for the church's restoration.
We have replaced the exterior siding, installed new double-hung windows, framing, insulation, hung sheetrock, and texture. She is a sight to behold. Small yet beautiful.
Today we continue the project.
Next will be paint!
And a new bathroom.
We are almost there!
We would love to replace the old wooden outhouse with one that will withstand the forces of nature and time. Our existing shed is minimally suitable for anyone with a size ten shoe or smaller. (A size larger and a visitor can't secure the door!)
Please help us get there!
Our community is looking forward to opening Bethel's doors to all who wish to enter. She is a beautiful beacon on the prairie. She stands proud and tall among the surrounding pasture and wheat fields.
We are proud to have her in our landscape and on our horizon.
Thank you for your generous donations and continued support!
