The COVID-19 pandemic has widened the digital divide for college students.
Forty-eight states closed college campuses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, sending millions of college students home and shifting to remote learning. Unfortunately, not all college students have a home to return to. Currently, students everywhere are transforming their smartphones and housing shelters into virtual classrooms, and those without stable access to the internet and technology face a widening digital divide. College is hard enough — students must be equipped with the tools they need to succeed. Together with your support, BestFit can provide those tools.
How can you support marginalized college students during COVID-19?
With your support, we’ll be able to narrow the digital divide for college students. Our initial goal of $10,000 will enable BestFit to provide one-time digital care packages for 20 college students. However, our overall goal is to raise $100,000.00 to serve 1,000 students nationwide.
Eligible students will receive:
6-12 months Wifi access (hotspot device or equivalent);
Essential software subscriptions (ex: Adobe, Microsoft Office);
Telehealth and wellness subscriptions (ex: Headspace, BetterHelp, Calm, Talkspace);
Gift certificates for eTextbook rentals; and Electronic gift cards for food and other basic necessities (ex: Amazon, Kroger).
1 Laptop (for those who need one).
Together, with your help, we can bring resources to thousands of college students. There are many ways to support this effort:

Who We Are:
BestFit is fiscally sponsored by ETINA, a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations made are tax-deductible.
BestFit’s mission is to close the gap in college graduation rates by providing every college student with a holistic support system. First-generation, underrepresented minority, and low-income students have lower graduation rates not because they lack the ability, but because they face systemic barriers in accessing the support of a college-going network.
We start by ensuring students’ basic needs are met. We empower students with a quick and easy way to compare and access critical resources so they can focus on what matters—graduating. We are based in Atlanta but our mission is to support students nationwide.
Thank you for your support. Helping just one student with a digital care package can make a world of difference. For more information, check out https://best-fit.app
