Lebanon needs your help Now
Lebanon is a country that is going through a severe economic crisis that has grown poverty limits to reach nearly 65% of the population, a country that is witnessing high record of unemployment rates with over one million jobs lost so far and estimated to exceed 70% of the population by the end of 2030. A country that is struggling with limited availability of medical equipment and supplies to respond to COVID-19.
At least 78 people were killed and 4,000 wounded in a massive explosion that shook the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020.
It's still unclear what exactly caused the explosion, which appears to have been centered on the city's port area. It was earlier blamed on a fire that broke out. They need food, shelter and medical relief to survive.
