The Bering Family Assistance Fund Program NEEDS YOUR HELP! Due to the surge of COVID-19, many members of our immigrant/refugee and LGBTQIA+ communities are without basic life necessities to sustain their lives and the lives of their families. For a variety of reasons, they are not eligible for unemployment or other government assistance. BUT THEIR NEED IS REAL AND URGENT. Without our help, they will lose their housing and utilities and will go hungry and without vital healthcare and other necessities. The Bering Family Assistance Fund Program was created to address this URGENT NEED. Through the Bering Family Assistance Fund Program and the generosity of the Bering community, we have been able to provide over $20,000 in direct financial assistance to immigrant families and LGBTQIA+ individuals who are on the verge of being evicted, getting critical services disconnected, or struggling with access to other life-sustaining needs. Due to increasing need, we are currently unable to fulfill all the pending applications we have received. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need to raise at least $50,000 to continue providing these essential funds to families and individuals. We hope that you can find it in your heart to give generously to the Bering Family Assistance Fund Program, and rest easy knowing that 100% of the funds received go directly to those in need.
