Please join me in supporting my trek up the 19341 foot Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on behalf of Friends of Access Israel (‘FAISR’) this coming February, 2020!
YES, I am thrilled to be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to support, FAISR that is strongly committed to the critical acceleration of the removal of actual and perceived barriers for people with disabilities and the elderly in a global effort to increase the rate and level of accessibility for all. Through education, advocacy and technology their efforts are to foster an equitable environment, where all people are valued, respected and supported for the vast abilities they have. Please view their website at www.FAISR.org and join their social media pages as well.
I’m also experiencing a personal challenge in my life. Candle 79 - the beautiful organic vegan restaurant I helped build, nurture and love for the past 16+ years will be permanently closing on New Year’s Eve, lost to New York City real estate development. As I look forward, the opportunity to climb Kili in support of Friends of Access Israel I believe is an amazing way to transition from one chapter to the yet unknown next.
Thank you for supporting my trek and the altruistic work of FAISR.
FAISR is a non-profit United States based 501-3C organization.
