We have been very busy these last couple of weeks! We have a couple new mamas, a few big boys and a very sick cat all in need of medical care.
Do you remember the babies we found? We believe these are their parents (Belle, Callie, Bob, Fred). These friends are part of a feral community and while their babies will be able to go to a forever home, their parents are excited to get back to their community. But before we can release them, they need to be spayed and neutered because MILLIONS of kittens are born every year and many more don’t survive.
Someone also contacted us about a very sick cat (Milo). He was lying in the gravel, barely able to move. We’ve rushed to his rescue and are doing everything we can to make sure he is as comfortable as possible. We aren’t sure he will make it, but we’re going to try!
While we were trapping, we came across a beautiful stray (Lily). Lily is pregnant and due in 3 to 4 weeks. She is very sweet and loving, but kittens are a lot of work and she will need to be boarded for a little while so the vet can make sure she is stable and in good health.
Let’s not forget about Mama Moo Moo and her six kittens. Everyone is doing well, but they will be heading to the vet for regular check ups soon. Kittens are a lot of work and we need to make sure that mama is also cared for so she can take care of her babies.
And of course Roberto! He’s working so hard through his behavioral challenges. Training is expensive, but his focus and effort are worth it.
We’re reaching out to our community to help us help them. Every animal deserves a chance at forever.
