This year has been one of the most challenging for all of us to face, from a new way of life that includes social distancing, to the loss of jobs and income for many. It is because of these circumstances that this year’s United Way theme, “Believe in Tomorrow,” carries deep social significance in 2020. Your generosity with this year’s campaign will not only help local charities and agencies impacted by the pandemic, but also the numerous children, adults and elderly who are relying on our investments more so than any other time in our community’s history. That is why we are reaching out to you for your help in assisting the United Way, which in turn, helps the young and old, and all ages in between, in the communities we serve. This year, your local United Way team is excited to lead a fundraising campaign goal of $300,000. Any amount given - large or small - is deeply appreciated, as it will help others who may be compelled to visit a food pantry for the first time in their lives. Those same funds may help a participating agency assist seniors isolated by the pandemic, help fund the operation of child care centers for essential workers, or aid organizations that assist children and adults with disabilities. Most important, your funds will ensure there will be enough for all and no one is turned away from any of the agencies we support. We know that your pledge today will help the most vulnerable in our community be able to “Believe in Tomorrow”. We thank you for your ongoing support as it will enable our community to remain strong while standing “United” even in the most challenging of times. Believe in tomorrow by pledging today!
