WE DID IT!!!
Thanks to a generous donation, we have exceeded our fundraising goal of $20,000 to build the Belfair Bark Park! Because of this donation, we are able to include a separate small dog area and elongate our trail. The GoFundMe campaign will stay active to raise funds for park maintenance and additional features.
Maintenance costs include but are not limited to pet waste supplies and general repairs of the park.
Extra features could include a shelter, picnic tables, and benches.
Thank you all so very much for your generous contributions, this park would not exist without your help!
CALLING ALL BELFAIR AREA DOG LOVERS!
The Salmon Center, at the end of Roessel Road, across from the Union River Preserve is fundraising to build a local dog park, the Belfair Bark Park... and we need your help! There are currently very few safe places to exercise dogs in the Belfair area, so we are looking to change that. Although the Union River Preserve has an extensive trail network, as a wildlife sanctuary, dogs are not permitted on the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife property. The new park will be located across from the Union River Estuary on the Salmon Center property at 600 NE Roessel Road. Our goal in building the Belfair Bark Park is to give community members a safe and fun place to bring their four legged friends, and to encouraage eco-friendly practices among pet owners.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to build a 40,000 square foot fenced-in park starting in June as well as continuing the partially complete dog trail.
Here is what your donation could go towards:
-$20 covers 1 linear foot of fencing (830 feet of fencing needed)
-$170 towards 1 double entry dog gate
-$350 towards a vehicle access fence
-Picnic tables (at least 2)
-Pet waste station
-Gravel for the partially complete dog trail
-Black textile fabric for under gravel on dog trail
After reaching our goal of $20,000, donations will go towards park and trail maintenance and extra features, such as a shelter or obstacles for dogs to play on!
A sign recognizing our distinguished donors (individuals who donate $100 or more) will be on display at the Belfair Bark Park for all to see!
Thank you for your support!
