Beech Brook Farm Equine Rescue is an all-volunteer organization that works tirelessly to save equines from slaughter and neglect as well as providing interactive horse experiences for youth and adults. We are verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries which speaks highly to the quality of care we provide to our rescued equines. We have saved 150 horses, donkeys and mules and placed over 125 in adoptive homes since our inception in 2007. Our goal is to find forever homes for our rescued equines. To this end many of our equines need training to find adoptive homes. We need to raise money to build a riding ring at our recently purchased facility so we can provide a better environment for training our rescued horses. Further the riding ring will be used for programs for members of our community to have interactive experiences with horses. The programs offer workshops for youth at risk with the focus on learning life skills. Working with horses offers grounding, balance, confidence and focus. We have placed horses that have gone on to become therapy horses, pleasure riding horses and companion equines. Although we may be a small rescue we have a huge heart and work diligently to save horses, donkeys and mules in need. Please help us build a riding ring so we can enhance our ability to train horses for future forever homes as well as to have classes to provide enriching experiences for humans to interact with our rescued horses.
