On this #GivingTuesdayNow--and for the months of May and June--Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC) is raising funds to support its Partners in Possibilities campaign to ensure the continuation of accessible, affordable, and enriching adaptive sports, recreation, and wellness programs for people of all abilities. Last year, ASPNC provided 20 different programs to 239 people with disabilities. This included skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, nordic skiing, climbing, swimming, hiking, biking, gliding, kayaking, gardening, bowling, sled hockey, boccia, yoga, meditation, tennis, basketball, and more.
Together, with our amazing community of volunteers, we were able to provide 2,504 individual activity sessions! Further, we are proud to offer all our programs to participants regardless of their ability to pay. In all, we granted more than $20,000 of waived or reduced program fees, thanks to our generous supporters like you.
And your continued support is needed now more than ever. As a result of the coronavirus public health emergency, we anticipate an increased demand for financial aid moving forward. Your generous gift will ensure these life-changing opportunities remain available to all. Please see below for a list of ways that your donation could help enrich the quality of life for an ASPNC participant.
$1,280 – a full season of winter and summer outdoor recreation for two (2) participants
$640 – a full season of alpine skiing/snowboarding and summer of biking
$400 – a full winter season of skiing or snowboarding
$240 – a full season of hiking, biking, climbing, or kayaking
$100 – participation on an ASPNC-supported competitive sports team (with team jersey)
$50 – one (1) day of skiing/snowboarding or two (2) summer hiking sessions
By donating today, you are ensuring access to thrilling, life-changing opportunities for people with disabilities. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. We also recognize that this is an unprecedented time for all of us. If you are unable to provide a financial contribution, please help us spread our reach by sharing our post.
Thank you for being a Partner in Possibilities.
