June 20, 2016, I got the call my dad was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer, but he thought he had Pancreatic Cancer. September 15, 2017 we got the call my father in law was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. These are both life changing events. My father in law was lucky to get the whipple surgery, but is still struggling to recover from the surgery. After surgery he will have more chemotherapy to continue to fight this disease. I knew I needed to start supporting the fighters and get the word out about how Project Purple is helping find a cure. They were able to provide a large donation to UNMC and open the FIRST pre-screening clinic for Pancreatic Cancer. There is an army of people behind both of these men as they fight their battle. Each walk I am involved in, I hope it's one step closer to a cure. I will start walking/jogging to spread the word and donate to Project Purple for each run. I hope you can help me Be The Hope and raise money for Project Purple.
