Conor Long was a young man from Boston, N.Y. who lost his life in July 2018 in a hiking accident 10 days after his 20th birthday. While Conor’s life was short, the impact he made on people’s lives in the Hamburg community was extensive.
First and foremost, Conor was kind. He was always the first to help a student in need, a child with a disability or a neighbor in need of a hand. Conor also initiated many programs that showed students the positive impact they could have on their community.
From a young age, playing in the mud was tempting to Conor. We all know that he excelled in sports and that he embraced the power of teamwork. Enter Tough Mudder. This event captures so much of Conor’s personality that it makes beautiful sense to be a part of it. On September 7, a team of Conor's friends and supporters will be tackling the mud and obstacles of Tough Mudder in Slippery Rock, PA.
Proceeds from this campaign will be used to support scholarships and activities funded by The Conor J. Long Foundation.
