Lea Edgecomb never regained the ability to walk after she overdosed on heroin her freshman year in high school. After she woke up from being in a coma for three months her life was never the same. Lea and her mother, Lisa, now offer their story as a warning. Lea speaks at high schools all over Maryland hoping to dissuade young people from using drugs and making good life choices. Now, as the opioid crisis deepens, Lea’s goal is to take her story to a national level and reach more kids before it’s too late.
Peace of Hearts, a non-profit, is sponsoring Lea's tour. Your donations will help pay to get Lea's message out to a larger audience. Please consider donating to and help Lea reach more people.
