Blue Crab CrossFit is hosting the third annual fundraiser Workout of the Day (WoD) for the Catch a Lift Fund, based out of Baltimore, Maryland on September 14, 2019 at 10am.
Blue Crab CrossFit aims to give back to the community as often as we can throughout the year, and we feel that this fundraiser is an important one to add to our list for giving back to the community, and we hope that you feel the same! Attendees do not need to be a Blue Crab CrossFit member to participate. All are welcome!
The Catch A Lift Fund has helped thousands of post 9/11 combat wounded veterans regain their mental and physical health through gym memberships, in home gym equipment, personalized fitness and nutrition programs and a peer support network. Catch A Lift vets are seeing and feeling results including dramatic weight loss, reduction in medications, improved sleep patterns, and strengthened relationships with family and friends, thanks to their healthier lifestyle.All proceeds will go to the Catch a Lift fund once the workout is completed on September 14th, 2019. Each WoD participant is suggested to donate $25 to complete the workout, $40 if you would like an event t-shirt (t-shirt donations must be made online); all donations are appreciated! The overall goal is to raise $1,000 for the fund. Donations will be accepted until the completion of the event and can be made at any time prior to the workout. Anyone wishing to donate that does not want to participate in the workout is welcomed and appreciated.
The workout is the following:
Rx 1. Hang from the pull up bar for 6 minutes.
2. Every time you drop, perform:800M Run30 Push Ups
1. Hang from the pull up bar for 6 minutes.
2. Every time you drop, perform:600M Run15 Push Ups
New to CrossFit
1. Hang from the pull up bar for 4 minutes.
2. Every time you drop, perform:200M Run15 Push UpsWe are excited for the event on Saturday!
We will be running heats from 10am through 12pm, so show up when you can and join us for the workout! Please show up early to complete paperwork if you are not a current Blue Crab CrossFit member.
