I have the honor and pleasure to work with the BBA Field Hockey Team. These girls work hard each day in school and on the field. They strive each day to be dynamic, resilient and honorable, aspirational words chosen by the girls. Many of the girls on this team are founding members and junior board members of the Be Brave for Life foundation. Riley Callen, one of our captains, took her story and turned it into a hopeful journey to create opportunities for support and resources for others.
Support us by donating. If you are looking to feel hopeful and inspired about the future just spend a little time with this team. Come out to the hike-a-thon . These girls are thoughtful, hardworking and understand the power and joy that come from working together as a team towards common goals.
To all my out of state friends Vermont is beautiful this time of year and Merck is worth the travel even if there wasn‘t a great cause to support.
The goal of the Be Brave For Life Hike-A-Thon is to support innovative research leading to better treatment options, and ultimately a cure, for these kinds of brain tumors and vascular lesions.
The more money that we raise, the bigger the impact we’re able to make toward making a real difference in the lives of individuals suffering with brain tumors and lesions, and the neurological consequences of their removal.
Since the founding of Be Brave for life in 2015, they've raised more than $500,000 to support the mission. As you join in this effort, as you raise funds to create awareness and support research, as you hike or run with us on this day - you will discover the power that comes from being brave!
