Support Our Run for the Elmer Iseler Singers!
This year marks two special anniversaries. It is the 125th running of the Around The Bay (ATB) road race, and it is the 40th anniversary of the Elmer Iseler Singers (EIS). ATB is North America’s oldest road race, first run in 1894, older than the Boston Marathon. Juno nominated and Grammy nominated EIS is arguably Canada’s Number one classical choral ensemble.
To celebrate these two milestones, three runners will be running the ATB race to raise funds for the EIS on March 31, 2019. EIS runners include: Board Member - John Buchanan, running the full 30k around Hamilton's natural harbour and EIS Singers - Michael Sawarna and Graham Robinson, running the 5k.
Your gifts will earn you a tax deduction, and will support the 2019 EIS tours bringing great choral music to Northern Canada. Your generosity will help us achieve the choir’s goal of making Classical Choral Music accessible in every corner of Canada.
More about the Elmer Iseler Singers: The EIS are a 20-voiced, award winning, professional choir led by Lydia Adams, Artistic Director and conductor. Achieving excellence in performance, the EIS do approximately 50 engagements per season. EIS also educates, mentors, collaborates, workshops with schools, choirs, singers and young conductors and composers. Touring Ontario, Canada and internationally, EIS strive to reach and expose both urban and rural communities to the beauty of choral music, always including Canadian composers and arrangers.
