I am excited to be running the Boston Marathon in April 2019 as part of the Bay Cove team. On a daily basis, Bay Cove is making a significant difference in the lives of people across the state and I am hopeful you will join me in supporting the invaluable work they do.
The mission of Bay Cove is to partner with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential. Their commitment is to carry out this mission by providing individualized and compassionate services for people with developmental disabilities, mental illness, aging-related challenges and/or drug and alcohol addiction.
So many of us have been touched by drug or alcohol addiction in some way. Maybe you have a family member, a friend, or colleague who has struggled with the diease of addiction. Or maybe you - like me - have helped support a loved one whose life was dramatically altered by someone who didn’t survive the struggle. My husband’s father was just 52 when he lost his battle with alcohol addiction. The CDC estimates that 72,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2017. We can help by supporting organizations like Bay Cove who are dedicated to offering hope, support, and services to those looking to gain sobriety and change their lives.
Please consider donating to Bay Cove and joining me on this amazing journey to reach the finish line in Boston!
