Oh, how fun it has been to be the Kinderclass teacher at Nantucket Lighthouse School for the past 10 years. In Kinderclass we learn letters and numbers through story and hands-on activities. We study our island's native Wampanoag people. We play, create and learn - while having fun!
About our school:
Nantucket Lighthouse School is a community of children, families and educators that embodies the joy of learning. Now in our twentieth year, we offer a very different education from the status quo. With class sizes no larger than twelve, our talented and dedicated teachers individualize their approach for a variety of learners, offer project-based learning, and successfully implement a strong social-emotional component to the academic curriculum so our students thrive.
A generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has offered us challenge grant of $100,000 if we can match their gift by September 1st. Our community of families, faculty, and Trustees has committed to engage in grassroots fundraising this summer to raise $50,000 towards the challenge. The remaining $50,000 we will be raising from our broader Nantucket community.
Will you help us meet our goal?
