During the COVID-19 crisis, some of Bama Bully Rescue's shelter partners have had to close their doors to potential adopters, while still accepting and caring for stray dogs in their communities. As the shelters fill up, they have reached out to us to take their bully breed pups - the dogs that have the endearing breed ambassador qualities that we look for in all of our candidates. Only now there are even more great dogs at risk of euthanasia. Some are sick, some are amputees, but so many have the exceptional temperament that makes us want to bring them into the BBR family.
And we have done everything in our power to respond to their need. During late March and early April, we brought 10 dogs into our rescue in 10 days. They are all safely in foster care, and are all available for adoption. But times are hard. Not just for the shelters and for our rescue, but for families everywhere. Adopting a dog during these challenging times is ideal, because people are home more. But adoption also requires financial stability. And very few of us have that right now.
Here's the good news. Even if you can't financially commit to adoption right now, you can still help. Your donation will allow us to equip more foster families, provide veterinary care to our newest adoptables, and best of all, help us bring more dogs into our rescue.
For a limited time, GoFundMe is offering to match our donations up to $1,000!
We can make this happen! We are BBR Strong!
