You can request match of previous donations by uploading the receipts from GoFundMe. Or you can also directly donate to us on Benevity (PayPal or credit card donation is preferred method since it helps us monitor the funds that we need). Funds will be comined with what we collected here. Funds beyond the current goal will be used for purchasing additional masks.
March 27 th update:
We have placed an order of 3000 KN95 which is estimated to arrive by April 8th! Organizers are paying out of pocket so that masks can arrive as soon as possible to help with the urgent situation. Our current raising goal is $5300, to cover the cost of this batch. If we raise more, we will order additional batches.
Local Bay Area hospitals are screaming for massive supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our doctors and nurses are working overloaded on the front lines without sufficient protection. They are reusing masks and handmaking masks. Even with these unusual solutions, current supply of masks is not even close to meet the surging demand.
Protecting our doctors and nurses is protecting ourselves. Supporting them and having them well protected is the key to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
Bay Area Microfluidics Network is acting! We have been able to source some FDA registered KN95 masks from a supplier in China ready to ship immediately and will arrive within a week.
A KN95 costs about $1.8 (We are able to source at a good price for high-quality masks through a strong personal connection). A few dollars of donation will result in several masks delivered to local health care workers.
We invite you to join us to bring masks to protect our Bay Area nurses and doctors!
Sincerely thank you for your generous help and stay safe and healthy.
