This year, I'm asking all my friends to donate to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for my Badwater 135 mile race across Death Valley. I was inspired to run for this cause by Yvonne Kurzen, a college roommate's mother who has lived with MS for many years. She is a wonderful and fun person with a fantastic spirit, but MS has taken away a great deal of her freedom to use and move her body in the ways she wants and needs. So, while I'm blessed to run and use my body to run across the deserts of California, I want to raise money for research that will help create a world free of MS someday and make life a little easier for those who live with MS right now. Please contribute what you can and I will think of you on my journey with tremendous gratitude. Thank you for making this run meaningful by allowing me to raise money for this very worthy cause.
I am matching my "goal" for the MS fundraiser by contributing $7,500 to Challenged Athletes Foundation which provides adaptive equipment and events for those with physical challenges, including spinal injuries or amputations. THANK YOU!!
