Back on My Feet
Back on My Feet operates in 13 major cities across the U.S., combatting homelessness through the power of running, community support, essential employment, and housing resources. In Atlanta, you will see us on early morning runs from Marietta Street to Peachtree Street, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Our model demonstrates that through restored confidence, strength, and self-esteem, individuals are better equipped for the road ahead. We aim to provide practical training and employment resources for achieving independence; an environment of accountability; and a community that offers compassion and hope. Back on My Feet has helped members achieve more than 6,500 jobs and homes and over 2,500 training opportunities. Eighty-three percent of our members are still employed after 15 months, and 44 percent receive a wage increase within the first six months.
How You Can Help
For all with the capacity to serve—volunteers, donors, community and corporate partners—we seek to engage you in the profound experience of empowering individuals to achieve what seemed impossible through the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other. Visit backonmyfeet.org to find out how you can join us on runs, sign up for one of our races, become a corporate or program partner, or help our members on their road to employment as an employment partner.
