We are launching a new social media campaign for families to share WHY they partner with PCHA-OH and walk to conquer congenital heart disease.
WHY WE WALK!!
LIFE is why I am walking!!! I am walking for my son GEORGE who was born with Congenital Heart Disease.
George Henry Wescott was born on 12/28/17. He was born early due to oligohydramnios. At birth he was noted to have a loud murmur. He was sent to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Cardiology for an evaluation where he was found to have Tetralogy of Fallot. Ultimately that means he had four defects within his heart that contributed to him having less circulating oxygen. At 11 weeks of age he underwent open heart surgery to conduct a repair. Prior to that we spent a lot of time worrying about if he would turn blue.
Since that time he has been thriving. He is a happy 8 month old boy. He is sitting up, rolling over , and trying now to crawl. He loves his sisters and being the center of attention. He is definately the calm in this family and we couldn't imagine a day without him!
Supporting the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association means supporting George in his life-long fight against CHD and supports the funding for research, support and friendships to help George live a longer and healthier life.
Please consider making a donation to support children like George and his fight for Conquering Congenital Heart Disease!!! Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone. Thank you in advance for your support!
