Early in March, baby bunny Elliot arrived at Oakland Animal Services in bad shape. Suffering from malnourishment and a bite wound around his neck, Elliot needed immediate veterinary treatment. The bite wound had festered, and Elliot needed surgery and extensive after care in order to heal.
Elliot is now in a loving foster home, where his wound is being treated and he is slowly gaining weight. The veterinary bills for surgery and antibiotics so far total several hundred dollars, and further care will be required before he is hopping along good as new.
We need your help! Friends of Oakland Animal Services needs the support of our donors to help us cover these expenses so that we can continue to help Elliot and other shelter animals in need of medical care. Thanks to our generous donors, we have already raised the funds to cover the medical expenses for Elliot's care on the road to a full recovery. Now, we've set a goal of $2500, to make sure we are able to care for the next bunny like Elliot who arrives at OAS in need of extraordinary care.
Please help us celebrate all of the bunnies and other animals who have so much love to give--and make springtime extra sweet--with your generous gift today!
