Our sweet baby boy Leo was born with cCMV (congenital cytomegalovirus). He suffers from many affects of this virus, neurological disorders, hearing and eye deficits, balance issues, nonverbal, to name a few. These effects from cCMV do not stop our "Baby Bubba" from what he wants to do, which is everything, so that is why we (Zack and Karen) are running The Compete 4 CMV 1/2 marathon to show Leo and others affected by CMV that we, too, are NOT stopping until we find a cure for this terrible virus.
Cytomegalovirus, or CMV, is a common virus that is generally harmless to people with healthy immune systems. In fact, most people have been exposed to CMV at some point in their lives without realizing it. 91% of women do not know about CMV. Let's work together on building awareness to prevent CMV from harming more babies.
Please donate to help fight this very important cause.
