Please help me in raising money for ArtsWestchester’s Artist Relief Fund.
The COVID-19 pandemic has jeopardized the lifestyles of many individuals including those in education, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, service, and small business.
However, many do not consider the impact the pandemic has had on artists. 63% of American artists are now unemployed and struggle to host events such as concerts, theatrical performances, movie screenings and showings, as well as art exhibitions.
There are many types of artists; from dancers to painters; filmmakers to musicians; acrobats to graphic designers; actors to photographers; poets to sculptors; animators to printmakers; and the list can go on.
Westchester County is home to many struggling artists who are unable to pay for rent, food, medical visits, and the supplies they need to continue making the art that shapes the American culture we know and enjoy today. They need your help.
ArtsWestchester needs your help to provide grants of $500 to Westchester artists struggling financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Donations will go directly to the ArtsWestchester Artist Relief Fund who provides the grants to the artists in need.
ArtsWestchester is one of New York’s largest nonprofit arts councils working to keep the arts alive and vibrant in Westchester County.
In addition to this GoFundMe page, I am creating awareness of kind acts that have been practiced during these troubling times through a Facebook and Instagram page that I call Ethan’s Random Acts of Sweetness. I will post photos, videos, stories and captions that are submitted to these Facebook and Instagram pages that demonstrate acts of kindness. Those who submit evidence of acts of kindness will be entered into a lottery every two weeks for a chance to win homemade baked goods. I will wear a medical mask when baking and, if the winner lives within Westchester County, I will deliver the sweets, also masked, to ensure COVID-19 safety.
Please help spread the word by sharing this fundraiser and awareness campaign with your family, friends, and colleagues. Thank you for the support!
