Help us support our families affected by childhood cancer during this time of need.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer was greatly affected by COVID-19 and had to temporarily close our doors to patients on March 17. While we are no longer able to provide therapies face-to-face, our committed employees still work to support our families by providing virtual therapies via telehealth. Our team is also working diligently to provide patients and siblings with enrichment activities to do at home, educational resources, and more. As families are struggling to balance the effects of pediatric cancer with the new effects COVID-19 has on them and the world, our services are more vital than ever.
We need your help to keep going. Our organization is committed to ensuring that our families are able to maintain emotional stability and that our employees can continue to provide day-to-day educational resources and one-on-one therapy sessions for our families during the coronavirus crisis. As always, our vital services are offered for free to any child and family affected by pediatric cancer.
If we raise $1,000 from ten or more donations by #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5, 2020, GoFundMe Charity will match that dollar for dollar up to another $1,000!
We have lost more than $40,000 in event-based fundraising due to COVID-19 related special event cancellations, and our general fundraising donations have decreased by 93% year over year for March. We are hoping to regain these funds through the support of our amazing community of supporters like you!
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting our organization. Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so families can continue receiving vital mental health therapy, occupational therapy, and pediatric cancer support services - always at no cost to patients. Help us make a difference for these children and families.
Thank you for your commitment to our mission to erase the effects of childhood cancer!
