On the morning of March 30, 2017 @ 830am Austin Cheeks life changed forever. Heres a little back story on Austin, see he was pretty much like all of us at 21. Loved hanging out with family and friends. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, ATV's but on the morning of March 30, 2017 that changed. Austin had a head on collision with another car...from that point on nothing was the same. He broke the femur bone in both legs, broke his pelvis, left Tibia and broke his radius in his right arm. They put Austin back together with plates, screws and titanium rods. Since then Austin has had 3 strokes is in need of 24/7 care and is bed ridden. Now you may ask yourself why isn’t Austin in a long-term care or nursing home facility. Well in that time he has been in 6 nursing homes. The father didn’t like how each one was treating Austin so 7 months ago he brought him home for good. Dennis which is Austin’s father does side jobs to make ends meet and when he Dennis has errands to run his mother or daughters watch Austin for the little time he is gone. Austin is 25 now, this fundraiser is for the addition on a bedroom for Austin. Making A Difference a 501c3 NFP is raising funds for the family of Austin to provide a handicap accessible room for this young man. 100% of donations will be used for this project. The project is due to start early spring weather permitting but we are raising funds now because of the cost of everything that is needed. B&T General Contracting along with countless other people and groups are volunteering their skills and time to build this for the Cheeks family. Any money left over from the project will be given directly to Dennis the father of Austin for on going care funds. If you are unable to donate that is fine, but please share so we can help this family!
