All of us at Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park are so excited to participate in the 4th Annual Festival of Trees being hosted by the Toms River Elks Lodge #1875. This is our second year participating and we are thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful event.
Our organization, along with many other non-profits, decorated our Christmas tree in the theme of the important work that we do for animals at Associated Humane Societies. We are so grateful to shelter staff member, Victor, from our Tinton Falls facility, for the beautiful work that he did in hand-crafting decorations to trim the tree that reflect the many animals that we care for at AHS/Popcorn Park. We hope that you will have the opportunity to view our tree in person but if you do not, please enjoy the photos and video of our tree. Our tree last year featured the many dogs and cats that we had available for adoption so this year, we are featuring many of the rescued exotics, wildlife, and farm animals that reside in Popcorn Park Refuge.
Voting is the most important part here. You can vote for our tree from now through December 14th. A vote is a donation, no matter how big or small! On December 14th, all donations will be tallied at the Gala from 5PM to 9PM at the Toms River Elks. The organization with the most money raised is the winner. Toms River Elks will award bonuses to the top three organizations that raise the most in donations. (All groups will keep the money that they raise). You can vote several ways:
- Vote through our Crowdrise campaign
- Go to the Toms River Elks Lodge #1875 during viewing times (seen below) and vote in person.
- Drop off your donation or mail it to our facility located at 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ. (Please write "Festival of Trees" in the memo of your check).
Your votes are so incredibly important to us. As a non-profit that cares for thousands of animals of all species and breeds, we rely heavily on the generosity of our caring and compassionate supporters. Your donations go directly toward the care of the many animals that come to us when they have nowhere else to turn. They come as victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment, and in most cases, they need extensive medical care. Medical treatment does not come without a cost, yet we never hesitate to get an animal the care that they desperately need. We could not do what we do without you.
Thank you for your support and please vote for Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park!
