The Aspinwall Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. Since 1893, we have served the residents, visitors and businesses of the Borough of Aspinwall. The Aspinwall Volunteer Fire Department is a group of individuals who are sworn to the general mission statement of our nation’s fire service; “To save lives and protect property.” Our members and firefighters work many hours, responding to many fire and rescue incidents. We attend training. We deliver public fire education and safety programs and we do all of that for free ! Then we have to attend to our much-needed fundraising events. Our commitment to providing the Borough of Aspinwall a volunteer fire department is one we do not take lightly. Many of us are Aspinwall residents and so the sustainability of the “The Town that Pride Built” resonates among us. Our volunteer firefighters and members are parents, grandparents, accountants, business owners, coaches, volunteers in other organizations, homemakers, nurses, engineers, skilled laborers, architects, store managers, security officers, career public safety servants, ministers and the list goes on. We’ve taken great strides and created several initiatives to enhance our service delivery to you. Times are changing however and we need your support now more than ever. We are in need of a new Rescue Truck. The estimated cost of an unequipped new one starts between $400,000 - $450,000. Please help us, help you ! Donations to us are tax deductible. Thank you for your consideration and your donation.
