The As One Charity Summer Creative and Performing Arts Camp encourages students to explore their creative nature and inner artist.
The week-long, arts-immersion program provides elementary school age students from the Ulster Spring Primary School in Trewlany, Jamaica the opportunity to experience the fullness of creative expression. Students participate in theatre, dance, music, arts and crafts, fashion, and design; many for the first time. Camp participants will also receive foreign language (French & Spanish), computer literacy and creative writing curriculum. As One's experienced volunteers create instructional activities to be fun and interactive as well as to advance campers’ abilities and knowledge.
The Summer Creative and Performing Arts Camp was created as part of As One Charity’s mission to serve communities across the globe, and is presented in partnership with LA-based restaurant Comfort LA.
Since 2016, As One Charity has provided educational enrichment programs to the students of Trewlany and the Ulster Spring Primary School thanks to the generous contributions of individual and corporate donors.
Last summer, 150 enthusiastic students joined us for our inaugural summer camp. And this August, we anticipate 200 new faces joining us. We have the volunteers, venue, and bright young stars eager to learn, but we still need your support.
As One has until August 1 to meet our goal, and we invite you to help us make this camp a reality. Your support will not only provide art supplies, costumes, meals and safe transportation for campers during our week in Trelawny, it will allow us to give each camper a backpack filled with art and school supplies in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Your investment will help improve the lives of these children, their families and communities, now and into the future. Join us by supporting As One today.
