In July 2018, nine Ashbury students and two teachers travelled to the Maasai Mara in Kenya. During our trip, we visited Ngulot Secondary School, founded by Ashbury alumnus Mitch Kurlyowicz. We contributed to Mitch's work by helping to build teacher’s accommodations for the school. His work and impact on the small kenyan community inspired us to raise $25,000 for a scholarship endowment which would allow even more boys the opportunity to attend Ngulot. Education creates a ripple effect in a community and is truely the key to breaking the poverty cycle.
We appreciate your support of our fundraising project.
