HOW: Our goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000. With that amount, the Asbury Community will be able to more fully support an expansive Personalized Learning Model, which serves every student. The vision is to meet the unique needs of each and every student in the building and have them flourish as lifelong learners.
By raising $350 per child during this campaign, in addition to continued participation in other fundraising activities, we will make this vision of enhanced education come true for ALL students.
WHY: Public funding for education in Colorado falls short of Asbury’s vision to create an educational environment where all students not only learn, but are exposed to a path that considers their unique interests and capabilities. Asbury’s Personalized Learning model facilitates this experience, yet requires more highly trained educators and support staff than a traditional education model.
Your Direct Give Donation builds a more sophisticated budgeting process which in turn gives Alicia and her team the ability to plan for, hire, train, and execute this learning model.
Colorado ranks No. 39 nationally among the 50 states and the District of Columbia in fiscal-year per-pupil spending in public elementary and high schools averaging $9,575. However, DPS per-pupil spending is only $4,882, leaving a significant gap.
Joining together as a community we can provide the funding necessary to make this Personalized Learning Model more fully come to fruition. Let’s create an educational environment at Asbury which supports self-advocating lifelong learners.
