I don’t need to tell you, things are bad — concert seasons canceled, indefinite postponements, and plenty of uncertainty about the future of the arts. But if history tells us anything, it’s times like these where artists get busy and often create their most important and influential work. The Aruna Quartet firmly believes that the times in which we now live will spark a renaissance of creativity, and we plan to be a part of that renaissance.
We are commissioning 14 new works to bring new voices and new messages to our audience the next time it’s safe to perform. Undoubtedly, this music and its messages will be important reflections on our current moment.
We are all affected by our current situation, especially children and teenagers, and that's why it's vital that we keep showing up in classrooms and inspiring creativity in whatever way we can. We are presenting educational programs that range from instrument fundamentals, to workshops on creativity, to coaching young chamber groups, adapted to whichever learning environment students are in.
This is only possible because of the generous support of people like you. Your contribution, and the contribution of others like you will make it possible for the Aruna Quartet to keep cultivating curiosity through music. Your $5, $25, $50, or $100 contribution will be an important and meaningful way you can help a small organization like ours.
We know that times are tough right now, so if you can't give at this moment, don’t sweat it. Keep following us and maybe share our campaign with a few friends. If you can make a contribution sometime in the future, please visit our website and send us a message. We are always happy to hear from you.
