We need your support. For the past 7 years, the Artists Ink team has been committed to providing quality programs and services to our community, and since our doors opened, we have offered everything we do free to all our youth and artists. We want to continue this trend, so we ask for your support. Our goal is to raise $5,000.
By raising $5,000 it will help us get the supplies our students need during the course of our winter/spring programs, gives us the opportunity to invite professional guest artists, host a few themed workshops, and give us the ability to keep our lights on, and our studio space Covid free. So, please help with any donations you can.
A Little Bit About Us
Founded in 2013, Artists Ink is a multidisciplinary arts organization from Salinas, our focus is to produce quality and versatile art that gives a voice to the experiences and history of our community. Artists Ink believes in empowering our youth through the use of the arts as a vehicle for personal and social change. By equipping artists with professional knowledge and skills we are inspiring the next generation to pursue the arts as a career and value themselves as the unique and dynamic individuals they are. We aspire to provide a space where professional artists and students can experiment, collaborate, and grow.
The Programs We Currently Offer
Currently, Artists Ink offers three programs: Creative Leaders, Teatro Xochitl Ollin (TXO), and Nepanoa. Each program takes place virtually via Zoom from Wednesday through Friday each and every week. Each program focuses on different life skills and art forms. At the start of every programming season, the students and their teacher take the first couple of weeks to brainstorm on what their final project will be. Past projects have included: Theatrical Play with video segments, Theatrical Readings of a Screenplay, Short Video Compositions, Monologue, Documentary, Virtual Open Mic, and An Art Exhibit.
