HELP THE IRC SAVE FAMILIES IN CRISIS.
"I believe that through art, we can change humanity in a positive way." - Mark Wallace
My name is Mark Wallace. I've been a full-time traveler for over six years. I've been to every continent and seen firsthand the devastation caused by poverty, social unrest, and war. I've witnessed natural disasters and seen the results of genocide.
COVID-19 is putting those already at risk in even greater danger of losing their lives.
Based on potential response scenarios, the IRC estimates between 500 million and 1 billion coronavirus infections, leading to between 1.7 to 3.2 million deaths, in 34 countries where they work—including war zones like Afghanistan, Syria, and Yemen.
I am asking you to join me in supporting the International Rescue Committee to help those who cannot help themselves.
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises. It helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. In more than 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities, their dedicated teams provide clean water, shelter, health care, education, and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people.
If you are an artist, I'm asking you to use your voice to share stories of displaced people through videos, podcasts, photos, painting, writing, or any means. Let's raise awareness about those in need and, most importantly, help raise funds to make a difference in their lives.
