It is customary when someone becomes a Bar or Bat mitzvah, at age 12 or 13, they give tzedaka (charity work). For our B'nai Mitzvah we can think of no better cause than to create awareness and raise funds to cure Parkinson's Disease. Our Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease over 10 years ago. The doctors believe he had it for a while before being diagnose. Only about four percent of the one million people with PD have young onset PD. It is hard for him to do a lot of things he loves like playing or coaching tennis, basketball or baseball. We are going to share 13 really important facts about PD.
