Imagine teaching ART remotely! Keeping students engaged in creative pursuits, without the tools and materials of the art room? Trying to inspire them with digital imagery, when you are not together in class?
Our Duluth Public Schools art educators are working tirelessly to build engaging arts experiences for our students, despite the pandemic! We have found that while materials can be distributed to families that need them, our art budgets don't nearly cover the costs of providing even modest at-home supplies. And while there are certainly artists who would offer a virtual fieldtrip or studio tour, we feel that offering them at least a token stipend for the time is essential.
Please help us help to provide these materials and experiences to our students, so that the disrupted school days of the pandemic will have some great creative focus for our students working at home!
Funds will be utilized to help provide arts supplies to students/familes who need them for classes, as well as to offer small stipends to artists willing to open their studios to our students for a virtual visit!
Thank you so much for any help you can offer!
