My name is Sean Cavanagh, and I have been running for over five years. Running from 5ks to 50ks has given me the opportunity to set fitness goals, become part of a community, and find a passion that has allowed me to challenge myself to set goals while having fun doing a sport I love. Getting into running was a hot and cold relationship to start and keep. I suffered a shoulder injury and gained a lot of weight, so a friend suggested that running would help me drop the weight and get fit.
Running for Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is a charity that I hope to become involved with. My father served in the Army from 1970-1973. I also have close friends and coworkers who have served our country and hope my fundraising contribution will go a long way to help the men and women who have protected and served for our freedom. As I continue my racing journey, I hope to set new challenges with distance, times, and most importantly, causes. I am honored to take part in the NYC half marathon running with an organization that helps current veterans and their families like Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund.
Thank you advance for your support and donation to such a great cause.
