Students enrolled in the Armstrong Choral Program are part of a long and proud heritage spanning over 50 years of excellence. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Armstrong choirs, we invited AHS Choir Alumni & Friends to perform in the inaugural Legacy Concert held on Febrauary 12, 2020. Little did we know, over 160 alumni would answer the call to join us on stage for this special event.
Inspired and overwhelmed with support from our alumni and friends for AHS choral music, the Legacy Scholarship has been established. It will be awarded to exceptional seniors who pursue collegiate vocal music. It is intended to motivate our current singers to pursue ongoing musical training, so that they may ultimately lead a new generation of singers to inspire the next.
In partnership with the Armstrong Choir Boosters, gifts collected during this campaign will fund this new endeavor. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of Armstrong Choirs.
"So you see, as we sat in the choir room for those 4 years of high school, we weren't being taught whether or not we were passionate about music. MUSIC was teaching us about ourselves and what we felt called to do. Choir provided us with a safe space to feel deeply, while being quietly and strongly supported by those around us. Every member of the Legacy Choir is here because their experience in the choir room shaped who they are today, and they continue singing now because they know that making music and art with other people is what continues to teach us who we are and guide where we are going."

"I think on the things that made me feel so wonderful when I was young. I think on the things that made me laugh, made me dance, made me sing.
I think on the things that made me grow into a being full of pride. I think on these things, for they are true."
